Happy First Birthday Emmie-Rose!
It’s amazing to think that one year ago you came into our life.
Your kind heart, strong spirit, and your willingness to overcome
all obstacles will be forever with us.
Instead of cake and candles and a big party, we brought you a
bouquet of balloons while brother and sisters blew bubbles.
We came to play with you for a while then packed up the van to
head to Lake Michigan. Your siblings have never seen a real beach before.
We are looking forward to a picnic lunch on the beach tomorrow.
We know you will be there with us.

Hi Cousins and little cousins. I check in on you here from time to time. I hope you are doing well. I think of Emmie Rose often. It IS amazing how one little angel has touched the lives of so many around the world in such a short time. She came to find good in the world, and she found it.
Z-girl is 6 years old! She's getting so big! I still remember her toddling around her Grampa's backyard with Peanut's leash in her hand. (Peanut is 6 years old too). And riding piggyback on her daddy while dancing...everyone in the airport pointing at how cute it was. I bet she's still the center of attention and quite the little entertainer.
If you have a recent family pic to post, I'd love to see it.

Wow, it's hard to believe it's been more than a year now since precious Emmie-Rose came into the world. She left us far too early, but her impact is not forgotten...
