Sep 3 - September Really Sucks

The doctors came in around 3:00 and talked with us.

There is nothing more they can do for Emmie-Rose.
As far advanced as technology is, doctors do not have a way to help repair
the intistine when its damaged.

The doctors gave us the three options:

1: Do nothing and let her body start shutting down on its own
2: Let us hold her while they begin turing equipment off
3: Say goodby and walk away then have them turn life support off

Stephanie and I are heart broken. She looks like a normal healthy baby
moving, looking aournd, squeezing our hand. Everything wrong is in the inside.

We are scared, sad, and have no cluse what to do at this point.
We love her more than anything and we are trying to make the best decision.

We love you soooo much Emmie-Rose!

Love Mommy and Daddy.

What about getting her to another hospital, even in another state, where they can do a transplant?

I have already talked to a few others and if you want to try to get her to another hospital to try for a transplant, even in another state, we will do our best to raise the money quickly to get her there.

I can't even begin to imagine how sad and helpless you must feel right now. I know that whatever you do it will be with Emmie's best interest at heart.

We love you guys, and we're praying for you all, and for baby Emmie. I'm so sorry this is happening. God has his plans, though we don't usually understand what they are. This precious little soul has come into our lives, and touched us for a reason...whatever that reason may be. May her purpose be not wasted.

Do whatever it is that you can for her. If there is a such thing as an intestinal transplant...and she can be taken to another hospital to have it done, I have some sources as well where I can, and WILL attempt to raise whatever money I can to help save this brave little soul that fights so hard to stay here.

I am familiar with premies, having worked with them. I am so sorry about Emmie Rose, but am wondering if maybe it's time to give Emmie Rose her rest, and give her up to God. He has surely been calling for her. We can pray for what WE want, but it isn't always HIS plan.
